Iced Chai Latte

It has been SO HOT outside recently. I have tried everything to cool off…standing in the shade…wearing a hat…eating ice cream. Nothing works (except ice cream, but that is momentary victory). Even letting my husband spray me with the water hose didn’t work. I was sweating like a crazy person, guzzling cup after cup of ice water, trying to stay hydrated and cool. After a few days of drinking nothing but ice water to cool me off, ice water became pretty boring. This morning, as I sat drinking my Chai Tea, I had a eureka moment! Why don’t I make my normal morning Chai into an Iced Chai Latte! That would be a perfect way to start my morning cooled and refreshed!

I absolutely adore tea! If you were to ask me if I was Team Coffee or Team Tea, I would 100% say Team Tea! Sometimes I wish I lived in England, simply so I could participate in their tea-loving traditions. I love the brand Tazo for their vast and delicious array of tea flavors. Something I love and can’t live without from Tazo is their Classic Chai Latte. And it’s Dairy-Free! You can also get it in Organic or Skinny if you want!

You can also use any milk you want to use for this recipe! I use oat milk because I love the thick consistency of it, but you can use any allergy-friendly milk substitute you want. The oat milk I use is Califia Farms Oat Milk. I’ve found that oat milk is really hit or miss for me in terms of whether I like it or not. Califia Farms is always my go to oat milk and I think it tastes absolutely wonderful!

I was so happy with how the Iced Chai Latte turned out. And it pairs beautifully with any of my breakfast recipes!

I mean just look how beautiful these pictures are!!!

Iced Chai Latte

This Iced Chai Latte is the perfect way to start your mornings. Packed with flavor and so very creamy, you won’t be able to resist!

  • Prep Time: 5m
  • Total Time: 5m
  • Serves: 1
  • Yield: 1 Iced Chai Latte
  • Category: Beverages, Breakfast, Dairy Free

Ingredients

  • A cup full of ice
  • 1/2 c Tazo Classic Latte Chai Black Tea
  • 1/2 c Milk of your choice (I used oat milk)
  • a pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour the Chai mix and the oat milk in a blender or NutriBullet. Blend until frothy which was about 30-45 seconds for me.
  2. Pour the Latte over a cup of ice.
  3. Optional: Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon over the top for that perfect coffee shop look!
